Perhaps someone here can explain to me why when Aero is on Adobe FME decides to keep spiking to 3GB Memory usage then back down to 1.66GB Memory usage? It's quite odd, if I use the old windows style without Aero disabled, it steadies at 1.66GB Memory usage and never spikes up. Since it's spiking up like this, it's setting the trigger off to go to Windows Basic theme.
This seems like a major issue with the program and the OS. If someone might be able to explain why this happens, I'd really love to know, it's effecting me while playing windowed games and streaming.
I have checked the issue you mentioned, at my end but FMLE 3.2 is consuming same memory Usage in Basic and Aero theme in Windows 7 Ultimate.
i increased Video resolution to HD and Preview zoom level to 400% to make it use maximum possible Memory but everytime it was using at max 500MB
Can you share your system configurations and settings you are using in FMLE.
Can you confirm from task Manager that shoot in memory is because of FMLE and not because of other applications that are running on system
Let me start off saying thank you for the reply.
It seems as though dwm.exe (Desktop Windows Manager) spikes out of control when Adobe FME is running. The reason I don't get spikes with basic windows look is because Aero is not running which dwm.exe controls all the glass effects and the other features that come with Aero.
Now from here, I don't know what to do, because that just seems odd, does it not?
The link I'm posting is of my stream. I'm putting up the video to show you how it spikes up to crazy amounts and seems a little excessive. This only happens if I have open xSplit or Adobe FME and I have no idea why.
Ohh i see that. can you please share your system configuration and OS flavor.
i tried to Windoes 7 Ultimate 32 bits and Enterprise 64 bits but could see the jump in DWM.
have you tried it without VHScrCap. as it is a desktop capturing software so probably it was causing the issue when running with FMLE to DWM.
also just out of curosity is there any specific reason for using FMLE 2.5.
I believe FMLE 3.2 is much more stable and bug free as compared to FME 2.5
- ASUS P6X58D Premium Motherboard
- ATI Radeon HD4870
- 4GB DDR3 RAM G.Skill Ripjaw Series
- Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHZ
- Western Digital 640GB 7200RPM HDD
- Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition
I have not tried without VhScrCap but the same thing happens with xSplit, however both I guess are capturing devices.
Also, I use 2.5 because it seems much more stable and doesn't resource hog for when I broadcast in 1920x1080. I've tried 3.1/3.2 and I didn't get the desired results that I was getting in 2.5.
