No Sound after Rendering?

Apr 28, 2011 7:10 PM

I have discovered a curious Glitch when rendering videos. It renders the video just fine. I have sound in the video, I choose to render it with sound, but after its rendered and I try to play the video: no sound what so ever. And I know its not a problem with my computer, because I go and play an audio file, and I can hear it just fine. Some help would be much appreciated.

Did you know that in the AE Render Queue, you have to turn on the switch to render sound?

What version of After Effects? Have you installed the recent updates? What operating system? What kind(s) of source footage? Do you get audio when you preview the composition within After Effects? What are your output settings?

Was the source audio embedded in the .avi, or a separate file? If embedded, what codec are you using for the source. If not, what format is the source audio using?

Can you zip and post a sample project/assets (use collect files if needed) to a public file share?
