I have discovered a curious Glitch when rendering videos. It renders the video just fine. I have sound in the video, I choose to render it with sound, but after its rendered and I try to play the video: no sound what so ever. And I know its not a problem with my computer, because I go and play an audio file, and I can hear it just fine. Some help would be much appreciated.
What version of After Effects? Have you installed the recent updates? What operating system? What kind(s) of source footage? Do you get audio when you preview the composition within After Effects? What are your output settings?
After Effects CS5, I have been updating when I can, Win 7 64-bit, generally avi footage, but the glitch has occured several times across footage, I did get audio when I previewed it in After Effects, and I'm saving it as a .mov, Photo-JPEG codec 95% quality, with audio at 48 khz.
I noticed a peculier thing after I updated After Effects. I tried to render it again but using a different file type: AVI. It rendered, just fine, sound and all... but it was 4 GB. Then I tried rendering at as a Quicktime: Photo - JPEG, with the same result as the very first time I tried it: no sound. But then I played it in Quicktime, instead of WMP 11, and it plays just find, sound and all. So I'm wondering why it would not play sound on my computer or Youtube, if its just a problem with the player. Any ideas?
