Problem with paintbrush cursor tip shape

For some reason my cursor tip shape is now oval and not circular with crosshair for best performance - how can I get my paintbrush tip back?? ANYONE? Went to preferences but that did not work.

In your brushes palette(at the bottom right), change roundness to 100%, or you can drag one of the vector points.

it was already at 100%

Could you post a screenshot of your Brush Panel then?

Have you tried reloading your (hopefully) saved Preset in the Brush Presets Panel?

Where I failed with this was not restarting PS5 after making the correction.
