Automatically updating a scoreboard

I have a baseball site that I would like to add a scoreboard that automatically updates from the MLB site. I know it can be done and know it take JavaScript to do so, however, I lack JavaScript skills. I can easily look things up on Youtube or Google, if I knew the name of the script I'm looking for. Better yet if someone here could explain to me what I'm needing that'd be great as well.

Would the Google MLB scoreboard gadget work?

I'd think this would be more an AJAX function unless you will be doing the updates. It needs to call to a source (that is updating) and the display the called info where you want it. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/700782/automatically-update-scorebo ard-without-refresh-page

You could also use an RSS feed for something like this.
