Hi All,

Am Shubhashri from Fireworks Engineering team.We regret the inconvience caused by the Adobe Fireworks CS5 11.0.1 Update.We have worked on resolving the issues and the new update is now live.

We have made the new Patch available through Adobe Updater.(Help->Updates).Installer through Adobe.com site will be available in couple of days.Please install the update and let us know your feedback.

Please note that the Application has not been changed from what it was in older update(11.0.1.7) even the application version remains the same (11.0.1.7).Only the update shows version as 11.0.2 though internally it is same as 11.0.1.

Hi,

Can you please share the log file in this location

On      Mac: /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/Adobe Fireworks CS5 11.0.2       <date>.log.gz
On      Windows XP: <installdrive>:\Program      Files\CommonFiles\Adobe\Installers\Adobe Fireworks CS5 11.0.2       <date>.log.gz
On      Windows Vista / Windows 7: <installdrive>:\Program Files      (x86)\CommonFiles\Adobe\Installers\Adobe Fireworks CS5 11.0.2        <date>.log.gz (64-bit Operating system)

                                                       <installdrive>:\Program Files\CommonFiles\Adobe\Installers\Adobe Fireworks CS5 11.0.2   <date>.log.gz (32-bit                    Operating system)

Also screenshot of the error would be helpful for us to debug.

Hi All,

New update for Fireworks CS5 (11.0.2) has been posted in Adobe.com as well.Please download the update from
http://www.adobe.com/support/fireworks/downloads_updaters.html .

As menitoned earlier the update is named 11.0.2 but the application has not been changed from what it was in 11.0.1.We have only fixed the installer issues in this new update.Application version would remain as 11.0.1 itself.

Still get this.

Adobe Fireworks CS5 11.0.2
Adobe Fireworks CS5 has been moved or deleted improperly. Please launch or reinstall the application to update the location and try again. To remove the product from the system, please uninstall product using the aliases under "/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers". Error Code: U44M2P29

Hi,

Error message says that you have either moved or removed the Adobe Fireworks CS5 from the installed location.So please follow the instruction below to get the update working.

"Please launch or reinstall the application to update the location and try again. To remove the product from the system, please uninstall product using the aliases under "/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers"

I'm not being obstinate here … but I have never moved anything.
The folders are exactly where the installer put them in my Applications folder.
I get this alot with Adobe products. (mainly Soundbooth, Fireworks and InDesign).
Soundbooth has NEVER worked in CS4 or CS5 for me and I have had two different laptops (the one I'm on being the newest model).

This weekend I will uninstall EVERYTHING (again) in the CS5 Adobe Creative MasterSuite and do a reinstall.
Then I will let the updater do it's thing.

I don't understand why it thinks I have moved the software.
There is no other place I would put it.

I'm also getting an error when trying to update Fireworks via the Adobe Automatic Updater. I tried downloading the update from the site but also got the same error message. I've never used Fireworks. I don't see an icon for attaching files. This is my first time posting to this forum, so I'm not sure how to attach the log files.

Log file that you had sent was not readable.Can you please apply the update again and resend the log files as a attachment to ?

I uninstalled Fireworks CS5 and reinstalled. When I ran, the 11.0.2 update, I got the same installation error. (I will email the log installation file to you directly.) Was I supposed to uninstall the entire CS5 package or just Fireworks?

I tried running the automatic updater again this morning but still getting failure. I uninstalled and reinstalled Fireworks before when it failed. Am I supposed to uninstall and reinstall the entire Adobe CS5 package, even though Fireworks is the only program updates that are failing?

I tried to installa latest update "Fireworks_11.0.2_All_AdobeUpdate.dmg" but from the application info I always see version 11.0.1.7.
I did not get any error from installation process.
I got the following messages from log file:

ERROR: The following payload errors were found during install:
ERROR: - Adobe Fireworks CS5_11.0.2_AdobeFireworks11All: Patch already installed
ERROR: - Adobe Fireworks CS5_11.0.2_AdobeFireworks11it_ITLanguagePack: Patch already installed

Why I still see the version 11.0.1?

That's a known problem with the installer, Emanuele. The updater has installed properly. It just fails to update the version number.

Make sure you're installing the latest update (which most likely you are). Download the update from here to be sure: http://adobe.ly/FWUpdates

If you're still having issues, then they are not related to the issue discussed in this thread. See this article for help getting the update to install successfully: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-update-issues-cs 5-cs5.html
