When I save my files in lightroom, I put them under one of about 4 parent files, (for example, family, sb photography, dads photos, etc.) But when I open lightroom they are all in one folder. I was hoping to see the parent folders so I don't have to san down through each subfolder each time. hwo do I show them in the parent folders.
Here is what it looks like. The mac foilder and the lightroom folder.
Notice that even though when I imported them inot lightrroom I put them in the parent foldsers and it shows them in my finder that way but there are no parent folders in the lightroom library Help!
Also, some further advice. Once Pictures is shown in Lightroom, create a new folder called Photos and drag all the picture folders into it.The right click the Pictures folder and choose "Promote subfolders" which will hide Pictures itself.
This way, you will have all your pictures clearly in one place and not mixed in with the Lightroom files. The Lightroom folder will just have the Lightroom 3 catalog.lrcat, Previews.lrdata, and the catalog backups folder.
There is no "Show parent folder" when I right click, there is an "Add parent folder", which, when I click it nothing really happens
I know you didn't intend it, but I agree that "Show parent folder" would be a better name for this menu command .
