Extract Audio From Cd - No Single Waveform Option?

Aug 4, 2011 7:55 AM

I don't see an option to extract to single waveform.

Is there a way to do this in CS5.5?

Not in Au CS5.5. It would be helpful for us to know how that fits into your workflow, however.

    JJ,

After you have extracted the tracks from the CD, you can use  File > Open Append > To New. Then navigate to the folder on your hard drive where the wav files have been saved, and multi-select the wav files by holding down the CTRL key as you click the files in the order you want them.  If the files are listed in order already, you can click the first one and then SHIFT-click the last one. After clicking OK, one waveform is created. There will be markers dividing the sources as was done in version 3 and earlier.

This function would be immensely helpful to my companies workflow as well. 15+ engineers all using Audition CS6, and extracing to a single wavform is a very common procedure for us.

    Cheers,

This functionality was implemented in Audition CC.
