Bridge CS5 Filters & Date Range Search

Hi - I tried searching but couldn't find someone with a similar issue.

 

I would like to be able to quickly locate photos taken at a specific date range - like from Sept 2008 to Dec 2008.  

 

The filters by date list daily dates.   There  doesn't seem to be a way to select multiple dates at the same time - have to click each date which becomes time consuming.

 

I tried Smart Collections - but it doesn't give me an option for Date Range.  Only "greater than" or "less than" a specific date.

 

I used to use keywords - and put in month/year for each photo but eventually that got cumersome.

 

Suggestions?

    For a date range you will probably have to use a script.  While I don't do scripts visit the site http://forums.adobe.com/community/bridge/bridge_scripting and they might have something already.

    Thanks.  I went to the script page but didn't see anything about "date range"?

     

    I just want to be able to quickly find pictures from a specific time period.   Would you recommend that I keyword month/year to each photo so I'll be able to find them quickly later on?

    You might experiment with the Find function.  Use Date created and in the Match put in "any criteria met".

     

    Perhaps this will give any photo of the year specified, just have not tried it.
