Flash Player Problem

Sep 23, 2011 2:03 AM

Hi,I am having a problem downloading and installing Flash Player, each time I try to install the software I receive the message that I have the latest version installed, strange as I do not have any version installed on my system. It has become a bit of a nuisance as some of the web sites I visit keep on asking me to install version 9 or above. What is the problem please.

My OS is Windows Vista.

Please try the following steps which should resolve this error:

    1. Download the stand alone uninstaller

    2. Close all your browser windows

    3. Run the uninstaller

    4. Restart your computer

    5. Delete the following folder, depending on your operating system type:

    • Windows 32bit - c:\Windows\system32\macromed
    • Windows 64bit - c:\windows\syswow64\macromed

    6. Download and install Flash Player located here:

Are you using Internet Explorer as your browser?  If so, please take a look at the following two FAQs that might help out:

Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer 9

ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer 9
