Dear Adobe I can find instructions and a list of needed  for modifying Apache to work with HLS for Apple/IOS devices. However I cannot use .dll on Linux but I can possibly use the .so files ....so can you verify that FMS 4.5  HLS  for Apple/IOS devices works on Linux by installing just the  3 .so files below? If it is in short why don't i need the .dll? Please answer so I don't spend days trying to install FMS 4.5 in a way that is not documented or tested by you. Also is installing FMS 4.5 and HLS for Adobe/IOS devices possible on IIS? Where do i get instructions for IIS? Thanks for your time.

For linux and windows there are different so file even for these modules.. List here is the so files and dlls required for the HLS + HDS on the windows server. For linux there is a different list of so files..

    which is as follows :

    libadbe_dme.so,

    libadbe_flv.so

    libadbe_license.so

    libasneu.so.1

    libcrypto.so.1.0.0

    libexpat.so.1

    libhds.so

    mod_hlshttp.so

    mod_jithttp.so

    mod_f4fhttp.so

remember mod_*.so fol linux and windows are different.. you can't use same on both the platforms..

We just support Apache modules - there's no relevant modules or set up for IIS when it comes to HDS/HLS.

I hope I am not making your post dirty..

Well, if I wasn't clear in my previous reply, let me rephrase.."The list I mentioned in my reply was for linux, not windows.."

Where did you search for these so files on linux??

Well I can't confirm, but I am not aware of any plan to re-write modules for different http webservers available...

Hi calmchessplayer, I do not think Nitin suggested anythign related to windows - i would suggest you do not mix two posts because it would be hard for Nitin too understand when/where did he suggest you something wrong.

I don't know what you mean when you say don't see any of above .so files - i have 4.5 CentOS installation and i see all of the .so files which Nitin mentions in Apache which comes with FMS. Can you just recheck your installation.

    Hi,

We are ALL on your side, trying to help

I have sent a mail on your yahoo account (as I couldn't attach the files here easily), which you can unzip and copy all the files to the modules folder on Apache on Linux.

Please let us know if those work you.

On the other hand, these files should have been present on apache with linux after the FMS installation, but let's not go into why / whether they are present or not , for now. We will make sure to make them available if they are not already there.

Thank you everyone for extending support to resolve the issue.
