Comments to a shared PDF appear at the end of page

Hi all,

when we add comments to a shared PDF (sticky notes or text replacements) then other reviewers see them displayed at the end of the page, not at the location they belong.

 

Is this a setting of PDF Reader? We work with WinXP, Acrobat 10 for uploading and Adobe Reader 10 for reviewing.

 

Naturally, a text replacement that does not appear at the text it replaces is of limited value..

    What is the OS and Reader language? non-English?

    Hi,

    we use German OS and Reader.

    This is a known issue on German OS. This has been documented in AX release notes - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/877/cpsid_87775.html (issue#2734285)

     

    As a workaround, you can try the following:

    1. Go to Control Panel->Regional and Language Options on XP

    2. Click Customize button in 'Standards and formats"

    3. Change the Decimal symbol from , (comma) to . (dot) and click OK

     

    Now try adding comments to the review file. That should help.
