I have Adobe Production Premium CS5 for Windows and I recently got a MacBook Pro as part of a Filmaking course I am taking. I am wondering how I could could switch my current version of CS5 to Mac OS X Lion? If need be I would be willing to get rid of my windows version.
Adobe offers crossgrades, but only for current versions--that means CS5.5. Your only option would be to purchase an upgrade to CS5.5, at which time you could switch to the Mac version (I believe; check with the Adobe Store/sales people).
Ah right, thought that might be the case. Do you know how I could contact them (email wise)? Also wondering if theres a student discount of some sort and what restricitons if any that would entail?
If you click on the "Store" link at the top of the page, there should be a number of options for communicating with sales. And yes, you can get an educational license and discount with the appropriate credentials; there should be information about that as well on the Store page. I don't believe the educational version is any different than the "commerical" version; there might be something in the licensing, but the software itself is identical.
Both sites below require proof of Education status, per Adobe licensing
