I have a problem to scroll a scroller with textinput-fields on a device. The inputfields don't responds the move on scrolling.
All contents move, only editable text input don't move.
someone passed for this?
If you need to support iOS you CANNOT scroll forms in a reliable way... if you do not plan on supporting iOS, you can revert to the old TextInput skin as mentioned above.
I was playing around with a workaround (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4063455?tstart=60#4063455), but it isn't reliable and I find myself keep having to hack and workaround things - I've dropped flex for this application and am now using a HTML, JS, CSS approach with a PhoneGap wrapper.
Thanks for you help Dan. All my textinputs have been a problem lately. In fact, I discovered that data binding is broken on the new text inputs.Hopefully all these issues will push this bug to the top of the priority list. I don't understand how they could of missed this even with the smallest amount of QA testing.
I have migrated my app from Flex 4.5.1 to Flex 4.6 and the TextInput click event was broken so I do this «
skinClass="spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin" » and all seems work (tested in my Android and seems ok) but one user with iPhone complained that now the keyboard dont popup ?
Please help !
Well, I had the opportunity to test a iPad 2 and using the TextInput with skin spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin, the events of flex works but does not open the keypad in iOS and with skin (stagetext new skin), keypad open in iOS (and with native access to spell check, etc ...) but do not run flex events. Since we do not need both situations simultaneously works (which fortunately it's my case for now).
I've created an e-mail function for iOS with four input TextArea's. All work fine with scrolling, keyboard and positioning of input fields as you move from one field to another. It is essential that you use Adobe's mobile skins for these TextArea's to make it work satisfactory. Documentation on request.
I am facing the same issue. If I don't use the mobile skin, I am able to see the softKeyboard feautres added in 4.6 but the text is not moving with the scroller and floats here and there on the screen. If I use mobileSkin then it fixes the text floating issue but I am not able to use the softKeyboard features.
I have the same issue in an app that needs to scroll and call up the soft keyboard number pad. Using the stageInputTextSkin class works perfectly except for the text inputs scroll away from the text--not acceptable. The inputTextSkin class scrolls but will not allow displaying the number pad--way undesirable. Both of these issues are documented in adobe's developer literature. So far I have found no reasonable workaround. I have posted on other forums and will spread the news if I solve it.
@LeeMacro, did you find a solution to this problem yet? I am trying to figure out what happens when you scroll either all the way up or down as then the text are being aligned properly. Perhaps its possible to manually trigger this event on the view to make this happen also during scroll. I am not sure if its an event on the actual textfields or the view itself.
I've tried a little work around that appears to work in the debug simulator - though I've not yet actually tried it on the iPad itself. Essentially the TextInput has prompt and text property. Setting the prompt property I noticed that the scrolling issue didn't occur. So, with that in mind, I intercept the FocusOut event, and set the prompt equal to the text value, then blank out the text value. Everything seems fine. Admittedly the prompt is a slightly greyer colour, but I suspect I might be able to override that.
We might have a solution to this. Please see http://blog.flexicious.com/post/Scrolling-Issues-With-TextInput-for-Fl ex-Air-Mobile-Native-StageText.aspx
