Hi all,
I changed my password at acrobat.com, now I cannot login with the new password from the Folio Builder panel in InDesign CS5.5. I'm on Mac OSX 10.6.8. Basically, the panel shows "Signing in..." and the endlessly spinning wheel, which means it's hanging and doesn't let me re-enter my login credentials.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Folio Builder and Overlay Creator tools, and am running the latest versions of each.I've also tried trashing the INDD preferences. No luck. I'd like to avoid uninstalling/reinstalling InDesign CS5.5, but if that's the only solution, I'll do it.
I did create a new user on my machine and that worked — I was able to login successfully with my new login credentials. But moving my production files and recreating all my settings from my account to this new one would take a while, so I wanted to see if there was another solution.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Jason
Hi John,
Here's how I solved the problem:
Change password back to the previous one at Acrobat.com (hopefully you'll remember it)
Start Indesign: Folio Builder will start properly
Choose log out from Folio Builders submenu
Change password back to the new version in Acrobat.com
Log out at Acrobat.com
Go to Indesign and log in at the Folio Builder submenu with your new password.
Now all problems are solved..... at least in my case
Good luck!
Thanks for this solution. Has anyone found anything more permanent? I have to go through this process each time I open InDesign (change password to original, sign out, change password to new, sign in). It's a real pain, and I'd like to simply keep the new password.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
