Indesign and Flex connection - WYSIWYG!

Guys,

My client has requested for one application. He says that he shall create some files in indesign and those should be rendered in Flex when requested by the end user. I am completelu clueless about this requirement. Seems like Indesign can export into some format which can be read by Flex.

Client wants something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujshxYRKjBw

Can somebody please point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance for your kind consideration.

There's no direct way to link between InDesign and Flex.

It is possible to take the data of an InDesign file and render it in Flex. In fact I've done it myself: http://printui.com/

But, doing so basically requires sending the document contents to the Flex app and rendering it all yourself, mapping InDesign features to ones supported in Flex. Some map better than others and there's a LOT of issues to work out. There's no simple way to go about it...

    Good luck!

There's many ways to approach the problem. One is by using IDML data.

If you'd like, you can PM me.

It sounds like you need more help than can be provided by a few forum posts...
