edit/trim subclips (in TL)

Hi

 

I'm totally new to Premiere and have to edit 8 hours a day with it... so I have a lot of questions.

 

Is it possible to roll out/trim a subclip in timeline?

In Premiere trimming or rolling out stops at the end of the subclip - not at the end of the master clip, like it does in Avid.

 

I think in FCP you have the same problem, but there is a command like "get rid of the subclip boundaries".

Is there maybe a similar command in Premiere? (I'm in CS5.0 / Windows7).

    'Edit Subclip'  Option in the menu.

     

    You can make a shortcut for it as well.

    thx a lot! This helps.

     

     

    It seems to work only w/ Project Window active, right? If I'm in TL the option "Edit Subclip" greyed out.

     

    So, if I map it to KB, I first have to click in the Project window and then hit the key.
