You know, Bob, Virtual Machine just might be the answer for people like me who are, for now, locked into PM 65. Or are locked into it because their employers won't spring for InDesign.
I hope we get some responses from people who have had experience with Virtual Machine.
The only way to find out is to try it. Just because it works for one person is no assurance that it will work for you.
That’s simply the way it is. The fact that your employer is willing to spring for a new computer tell me you should be able to wrangle another $192 out of them for a PM to ID upgrade: http://amzn.to/qEsjBZ
After all, the virtual machine and Win 98 aren’t going to be free.
Don’t throw good money after bad.
Just my $0.02,
What version of VM is free? Windows virtual PC requires an ungrade to windows 7 professional. Is there a viable e alternative out there.
Unless you have purchased it as a separate upgrade, your copy of ME may not be legal to run on a different machine, many of those licenses are tied to specific machines.
