I would like to be able to have a image of a product and the user be able to change the color on three different parts of the image. Then the user could see exactly what they are buying. I am a newbie. Is this something to be done in a flash program???

This will require some advanced coding skills & an array of images to represent all possible color combinations.
You could make an image viewer in Flash professional but keep in mind that Flash media isn't supported by all web devices. You may be losing some potential customers who can't view Flash.
As an alternative to Flash, you could build a CSS image viewer. See link below for a no-frills demo (view source to see the code)

There is a plethora of jQuery image viewers on the web

Nancy,
Thanks. I figured it would be pretty hard to do. It's kind of like the car builders sites where if you want to just change the truck to red from black, you would click the red tab and it changes to red....I have a way to show different pictures on my site now, was just trying to minimize that part so the customers could change them on the spot to see it right there without having to click around to find the picture of the one they wanted.
