Encore CS5 "Initailizing Transcoding" total lockup during program start.

During the transfer of a project from Premeire Pro to Encore, as the project is opening Encore the startup of Encore freezes the computer totally during the "initailizing transcoding" phase of startup. I have tried to "disable" the LG Blue Ray drive and Encore does start on it's own, but when trying to refresh the drive after re-enableing the drive in the "Build" panel when I want to "burn" the project 'lockup" happens again. Has anyone come up with a solution to this odd situation?

    If you are using Dynamic Link... don't

     

    Export your finished PPro project as a final video and open Encore by itself and then import the video... if this works for you, you are one of those people who have "something" wrong that prevents DL from working

    Welcome to the forum.

     

    Do you have a blank disc in the BD burner? If so, take it out, and do not insert it, until time to do the Burn.

    What Bill said is a likely cause.

     

    If not, the following should only apply to CS4 and Win7, but I vaguely recall at least one CS5 user that said it fixed problems.
