Well, some users report running CS3 under Lion, so, in theory, yes. Whether the installer itself works correctly under Lion I can't guarantee. Try it.

It's possible that those who report using CS3 under Lion actually had Photoshop CS3 already installed before they upgraded to Lion. Don't know.

In any event, consider upgrading your copy of Photoshop before CS3 is totally out of the upgrade loop, perhaps as early as next April (roughly) when CS6 is announced..

Yes, CS 3 installed fine on Lion for me. So you should not have any real problems.

Again, In any event, consider upgrading your copy of Photoshop before CS3 and even CS4 are totally out of the upgrade loop, perhaps as early as next April (roughly) when CS6 is announced. Only CS5 (one version back only) will become the new Adobe upgrade policy.

adobe has a "solution" which DID NOT WORK for me.

CS3 is running on one of my lion disks, but as Tai Lao suggests, it was installed befor the system on it was moved to Lion.

don't know if this is much help. one cannot install CS3 into lion from the orig disk and cannot drag copy into lion.

however, MIGRATION APP will place CS3 into lion from an older disk on which it is already running.
