Save quiz answer choices when jumping back to learning slide

Hello all, I have created a full course where there is a graded quiz at the end of the lesson.  I added a button widget on the quiz slides so users can go back to specific pages to use as reference  for the quiz question. Each reference page includes a button to "go to the slide last visited", which means they would return to the same quiz question.

The problem:

When the user returns from the reference slide to continue the quiz, all the previously answered questions are lost/reset by Captivate. Is there a way jump to a slide and return to the quiz while retaining the previously answered questions?

Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

You should stay within the quiz scope, not to break up the quiz attempt. If you get out of the quiz scope, Captivate considers the attempt as closed, and if you allow multiple attempts, Retake will be activated which means that all previous answers are reset. Quiz scope starts with the first scored object and ends with the score slide or the last scored object. So the solution could be to enter a scored object (button, Text Entry Box or Click box) with a small score of 1 point to a slide that is before the slides you want to return to. Easiest is to add this object to the first slide, and keep the score slide as last slide, that way the Quiz scope is the total file.

I tried to explain the quiz scope and other quiz functionalities in some blog posts, this is the first one:
