I sometimes have source files (R3D or MXF) with four tracks of audio. When transcoding or rendering out to MXFOP1a codec there is only the option for mono or stereo audio. The MXF format supports many more tracks than just two so is there any way to retain the additional audio tracks when rendering out of Premiere, After Effects or Media Encoder?
I, too, am wondering why my stereo MXF with two different microphone sources (one clip mic and one internal camera mic) on my left and right audio track is beeing recognized as a stereo mxf file with both the same audio source on the left and right side. The second audio track has the same audio source as the first one.
I've uploaded a screenshot of both AE and Premiere to show what I'm talking about.
