ReferenceError: Error #1065 (upgrade to flex 4.5 runtime exception)

Dec 26, 2011 8:49 PM

Hi All,

I have the following runtime exception after the full build using ant. It seems everything works fine if I use flashbuilder and run it locally. Please help. Thanks.

    Hi, did you ever find a solution?  I have the same issue.

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12914660/embedded-resources-with-in cremental-build-provokes-runtime-exception-with-flex-4

    Apparently the fix is to compile a module when using ant using incremental=false.  Looks like that's a known issue.

    Hope someone else can benefit from this!

    Thank you to Alex who provided this answer!

    Here is a sample macrodef for ANT which eliminates this issue:

    <macrodef name="buildModule">

        <attribute name="module-name" default="none" />

        <attribute name="module-package" default="none" />

        <attribute name="out-path" default="." />

        <attribute name="debug" default="true" />

        <sequential>

            <echo message="${absolute_basedir}"/>

            <antcall target="checkReportsDir"/>

            <echo message="building @{module-name} to @{out-path}/@{module-name}.swf" />

            <mxmlc file="${APP_ROOT}/src/@{module-package}/@{module-name}.mxml"

                   output="${DEPLOY_DIR}/@{out-path}/@{module-name}.swf"

                   keep-generated-actionscript="false"

                   incremental="false"

                   debug="@{debug}"

                   optimize="false"

                   size-report="${basedir}/reports/@{module-name}-size_report.xml"

                   >

                <load-config filename="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/flex-config.xml"/>

                <load-config filename="${basedir}/config/ModuleConfig.xml"/>

            </mxmlc>

        </sequential>

    </macrodef>
