Gradient Help

Picture 1.pngI have ps 1.8 on Mac OS 10.5.8. How can I make gradient? Like:Picture 2.pngI know its so simple but Im new to photoshop!

    Now that you have the text:  add a gradient overlay layer style, then change the gradient to one like you see in the iPhone logo.

    Ok I found the overlay layer but how can I change the color?Picture 3.png

    You change the gradient -- click on the gradient preview to edit the gradient.
