I am using PP version 3.2 CS3. I imported clips that were shot on an XDcam EX-1. They show in my bins as MP4. For some reason, some of the clips do not have audio and some do. I played them in the source monitor and timeline - no audio. The mixer is showing no levels as well. I took the same clips and watched them in the XDcam browser and the audio is there. So there is no doubt audio. I am baffled as to why a few clips have this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks
First - To work with AC3 sound files in Premiere CS3, copy the ad2ac3dec.dll file from the Encore CS3 directory into the Premiere directory
Second - Read Bill Hunt on a file type as WRAPPER http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037

John:
When I import any folder it gives me a File Import Failure dialog box, but after I hit OK, the files are in the bin.
Not sure if this has anything to do with the issue. Whenever I import an entire folder or single clip, there is no conforming progress bar. There is no conforming at all.
