Hi
I am relitively new to using Contribute and hope that this makes sense:
I have CS5 installed on my system (part of Master collection) and I administer a website for another company, and I would like them to have some editing control of their site.
They already have Contribute CS3 installed on their system but have never used it to connect.
My question is can I create a user key for their ftp with CS5, and email it to them so that they can connect and edit their site with their own copy of CS3 (without them having to upgrade to CS5) ?
If so, is it that simple - I just create the key and email it to them, and they use it to connect and edit their site without me having to go to their office and configure the software ?
Thankyou
Sarah
Yes, you can send the Connection Key to the users using CS3. They can connect and edit their site without any problem.
Only think you have to make sure is, your site should be in Transition Mode. Please refer to the blog, http://blogs.adobe.com/contribute/2009/09/compatibilty_transition_mode .html to make this setting.
Hope this helps you.
