I've downloaded the CS4 sdk to my desktop and opened the GLator example in VS2008. When i do a clean build then it says it "Build succeeded" and i do get a Build folder, but there's no .dll or .aex file.
Any idea what the problem is?
i think that by default on the cs4 SDK, the plug-ins build to:
c:\program files\adobe\after effect 9.0\plug-ins\sdk
note the "after effect 9.0" instead of "CS4"
it used to be like that on older versions, and i think it still is.
(i'm not building to the default location, so i can't tell for sure)
I don't have that directory, all i have is:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS4\Support Files\Plug-ins
The output directory of visual studio is set to:
.\Debug
So i guess the build should appear in the same directory as the project is in, right..?
Any other idea what the problem could be...??
You're right, the file was placed in my C:\ drive...
Had to change the Linker options to set another directory.
But i have another strange problem. I just opened the Skeleton project. But this one doesn't even build.
I tried to Clean, Rebuild, Build, but nothing is happening. No errors either.
I got one conversion warning, but i don't think that's the problem:
"Web deployment to the local IIS server is no longer supported. The Web Deployment build tool has been removed from your project settings."
Any idea what the problem with that project might be?
err...
i think that error said it disabled your build settings.
that is, your only build setting. so the project can't build.
you could try to fix the build settings but i don't know how deep the
problem was.
imho, the simplest solution would be to duplicate another project and then
just replace the .cpp and .h files back to the skeleton files.
