Could you please elaborate a bit more as to what is the issue faced while launching Acrobat?
Please post the exact error message if any.

Ankit,
I have tried to download the trial version of Acrobat Pro X.
The download message indicated it was successful.
When I tried to open Pro X to creat a .pdf or tried to read an existing .pdf nothing happened. No error message.
I have uninstalled all adobe and adobe acrobat programs and re-installed them directly from the acrobat site 4 times
with the same result.
I am concerned that iif I purchase the Pro X it will not perform as expected.

Ankit,
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium - XP.
Reader works fine but when I attempt to creat a .pdf, the program launches and nothing happens?

I am confused here. Is it Reader or Acrobat that is installed on your machine?

I have both, Reader and Acrobat X Pro ( the X Pro is a trial version ) to modify .pdf's.

Thanks for confirming.
When you say when you try and create a PDF the program launches and nothing happens?
What do you mean by the same? Do you mean, Acrobat doesnt create the PDFand just sits there?
I am not able to understand this, cause in your earlier post you said that Acrobat wasnt launching itself.

Ankit,
That is correct - nothing happens.
Today I ran scans and the following messages were sent:
1: 'Incompatible Application' with the triangular warning sign
2: 'Acrobat failed to send a DDE command'
I am getting to the point of frustration and going to uninstall everything before it does
damage to my hard drive.
I also understand that uninstall will not remove all aspects of the program from my
hard drive but this is giving me a very bad impression of the Acrobat program.

Please try and disable your antivirus and see if it solves the problem. Also, try updating to the latest version of Acrobat i.e. v 10.1.2 and see if it helps.
You can get the latest update from: http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/10.x/10.1.2/misc/AcrobatUpd1012.msp
