I am starting on an app that requires the ability to get images either from stored files on the device or from camera itself and to then use the image data within the app in a variety of ways. I have taken a look at the AIR camera API, and it looks simple enough, but as I am far more interested in spending my time on game mecahnics than on learning to parse exif(?) data, I was wondering if anyone has done up a decent easy-to-use library to wrap the API? Basically, call the camera and take a photo or get a photo form the camera roll, get it into the app in the right orientation, copy the image to a bitmap and move on.
Thanks (trying not to sound lazy, but I am a one-man operation so need to watch where I spend my efforts).
