Certification for Technical Comm. Specialist

Dear All

I would like to gain the ACE qualifications that would allow me to become an Adobe Technical Comm. Specialist.

However, I use TS2 which includes FrameMake 9.0, RoboHelp 8.0 and Captivate 4.0 and there are no ACE exams available for any of these products.

Will there be ACE exams for these products in the future?

Is there a path that I can follow to gain the Technicla Comms Specialist accoldae?

Claire, it seems that there is now an ACE for Framemaker 10, Robohelp 9.0 and Captivate 5.5: http://www8.pearsonvue.com/Dispatcher?webApp=ExamList&webContext=Candi dateSite&cid=347 I see a RH7 and a FM8 one too, but not the versions you mention.

Hi Claire,

Here is the response from the Certification team at Adobe:

We have recently updated a number of our exams. The requirements for being a Technical Communication Specialist is now based off of:
FrameMaker 10
RoboHelp 9
Acrobat X
Captivate 5 or Captivate 5.5

Hi Paul,
Just wondering if you can tell me (or perhaps find out?), is it simply an 'automatic' qualification (the Technical Communication Specialist), once you have achieved the 4 Certs you mention in your above post?

Yes, it is an automatic qualification.
