Is there a way in Illustrator to type text in one text area box and have the same text appear in another.
So that if you change 1 the other changed dynamically?
I was going to do variables in InDesign, but I want to know if this can be done in Illustrator as well?
Yes..Symbols would work, and I also was thinking about using the Effect-transform option by moving it to another location.
Both of these are an option. I just thought variables were once in Illustrator like InDesign.
But, if it comes down to the transform or symbol options, then that will work!
Using transform with copy is nice and simple fr a quick job you dont expect to move the copy in the furue.
Symbols is a little more robust and allows more options with multiple lements. If you use symbols, create a fill and stroke rectangle of none slightly larger than what you expect to be the max size of your element. This will keep your symbols form resizing as the bounding box of the symbol will be the fill/stoke of none box.
