How do I get Bridge to re-install and work correctly?

Jan 26, 2012 3:41 PM

I've been successfully using Adobe Bridge for years when it suddenly stopped working!  (I use CS3 in Windows 7.)  I have UNsuccessfully tried 1)  uninstalling and re-installing Photoshop, as well as 2)  uninstalling and re-installing the entire CS3 Suite.  Too time consuming, and nothing worked!  Bridge is such a dynamite program and I rely on it - I have hundreds of photos to finish sorting for my Dad (nearly 90) and my Mom (who recently passed away).  Help, please!  How do I get Bridge to start working again?

Did you reset the preferences?  A reinstall will not affect this file.

Hold down the Ctrl key and start Bridge.  You should get a reset window with 3 options.

Sometimes, reinstalling software is completely pointless anyway. If the application leaves settings behind, it might actually reuse them when it's reinstalled.
