Drop shadows on text when printing?

Will drop shadows print well in a magazine or workbook with a gloss aqueous coating, even when positioned with large distances?

 

I'm reading conflicting opinions of this.

    There’s too many variables to accurately answer that with a definite yes.

     

     

     

    The best I can do is, if the file is properly set up and the printer knows what they’re doing, then is should look just fine.
