Colors fading on PDF export from Illustrator/Indesign CS2

Hi guys,

 

I was asked to post this here instead of PDF forum:

 

I can't figure out why colors are fading when exporting to PDF.  I've had this issue for a long time and am finally fed up with it enough to post.  I'm in the RGB space in Illustrator (and transparency blend in InDesign).  I'm using CS2 and Acrobat Pro 7 on Windows XP.

 

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    I thought the options were to Print to or Save As PDF. You may consider having Color management Off, if that is an option in connexion with the export/print/save.

    Hi, yes it's Save As PDF for Illustrator (export for InDesign).  During the save I've tried both No Conversion and Convert to Destination - Document RGB.

     

    Any other ideas?

    Ed,

     

    I was thinking of the setting buried deep in the File>Print Setup (or File>Print) Properties box.

     

    But the issue may lie in the Edit>Color Settings>Settings, where you can try Color Management Off.
