Is it possible to set maxBandwidth in osmf?

Hy

 

Can any one help me solve this problem:

I have poor network and I'm trying to limit the bandwidth in OSMF. My goal is to set a max value of bandwidth for example 500kbs when some one is watching a video. I want it to be a const value during time. There is a DynamicStream class which has such a method but it need NetConnection. So maybe some one know haw to play a video in OSMF using NetConnection.

    OSMF automatically throttles the connection at 1.4 times the max bitrate in your DynamicStreamingResource.  Encode your video at around 357kbs and this should work. Beware of wide ranging VBR encodes though.

    Thanks the tip.

    In may case It still leaves me with the problem of to heigh bandwith saturation. I will give it a try and will see.
