Text boxes that follow you down the page

I'm trying to figure out how to create a text box that, as you scroll down a page, stays with you and almost scrolls down the page as you do.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about: http://www.newerascouting.com/mock-draft/

I want the text box to do the same thing that the Tweet/Like/+1 box is doing: staying put while everything to the right of it scrolls down. If this is possible through HTML or if there's something easier, please help me out!

You must be careful when using position:fixed or "stickies." Legacy browsers (IE6) & smaller modern devices (iPhones) do not always support them properly. Be sure to test, test, test.
