Bugs in published magazine-app!

Hi everybody,

last week I finished a DPS-Magazine and we (meaning our IT-Department and the client) published it in the App-Store.

As the magazine was finally available on the store, I downloaded it and was shocked.

There are two functually mistakes, that NEVER occured while testing the folio in the content viewer.

First of all, one button doesn't work at all.

This button should go to the second status of a mso. I checked it right now - in the document, everything looks just fine. While testing, this button ALWAYS worked!

(In the published app, it even works fine in the vertical layout, but NOT horizontally).

The second damn bug is one articles second (horizontally) page. That page won't show any content at all and is just white like an empty page.

Again, this effect only appears in the horizontal layout.

I have to explain that to my customer. I simply can't find an explanation for those bugs! I checked the InDesign-Files and they are correct.

Those mistakes never came up while testing in the content viewer.

What can I do now?

Anyone with similar experiencea?

This is why you get a developer app…for testing.

What can you do now? Revise it and resubmit it.

Yeah... my dear IT-collegue didn't give a damn about informing me or doing anything to check the folio one last time.

For resubmitting the app I have to pay the 300$ (Single Edition) again, don't I …?

You shouldn’t have to pay again. Just revise it and use the same details in the Viewer Builder.

If that doesn’t work, contact Adobe.

I had a situation where the button was on a layer BELOW the MSO layer. The button would work with the desktop viewer, but not on the ipad. I moved the button to a layer above and everything worked fine. Drove me crazy figuring it out.
