Is new hard drive a solution to solve questionably uninstalled PSE9 on Mac?

I'm going to go on and hope for the best as I try to edit my photos on Mac OS6 after being told that unistalling PSE 9 on disk by dragging to trash and then emptying trash was wrong. Later I uninstalled the program the proper way and things seem to be ok. I've done a few edits since then,  but if things don't start going smoothly soon is getting a new hard drive a solution? Would that mean that I would start with a clean slate with PSE 9. I could back up everything from the old hard drive to an external hard drive.

    Well, I suppose it's a solution in the same way that burning down your house is a solution to having really messy closets. There's no need for anything so drastic.

    Ok. How can I tell if the first uninstall of Photoshop Elements 9 to the trash messed up my hard drive? When bad things start happening during my edits?

    You know, it would be a lot easier to keep up if you didn't keep posting new threads about this. Have you tried a new catalog? I'd really suggest going back to this thread and keeping everything there to lessen the confusion.
