Hi,
I've downloaded the AIR 3.2 SDK, but the Flash builder doesn't reconize it as a new SDK...
Any idea how can I use it?
Thanks
Gil
I was able to get it to work. Here is what I did:
1) Make a backup copy of the C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks\4.6.0 directory and give it a different name
2) Copy the directory tree from the AIR RC and overwrite the directories inside 4.6.0
3) Rebuild
This worked for me. Your mileage may vary.
Did something similar. But instead of overwriting the Flex 4.6 SDK at C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks\4.6.0 I used the cloned folder instead. So basically I did the following:
This way I don't mess with anything in C:\Program Files(x86) other than copying the Flex 4.6 SDK. Of course to use the AIR 3.2 SDK I have to explicity reference it by the custom name. But overall it just feels a bit safer this way.
Can someone explain this in a step by step process (sorry, mind fog)
I have Flash Builder Premium 4.6 on Mac OS X and pretty soon, 4/1/2012 i think, FB 4.6 for PHP in Windows, and am looking to,
(a) install AIR3.2 release candidate for use with FB both prem and Zend/pho ver and Flash CS 5.5
(b) learn more in general about building AIR Captive runtimes; e,g. .apk for Android, .msi for Windows, etc. etc. for all platforms iOS BB PlayBook
Thanks much in advance for any guidance.
Here's a step-by-step guide I've written on how to overlay AIR 3.2 in Flash Builder 4.6: http://bit.ly/H8jB52
And also, here's a step-by-step guide I've written on how to overlay the AIR 3.2 SDK in Flash Professional CS5.5 http://bit.ly/HUoCUv
Just to add to bartonjyf's MERGE instead of COPY solution on Mac.
I had trouble grabbing all the files and folders in the AIR SDK folder and merging them inside the duplicated Flex SDK folder. It worked if I first did a standard copy & replace on the PDF, TXT, and XML files, then did the ALT-drag on all the remaining FOLDERS in the SDK folder.
