Can't view or print Adobe Reader X (10.1.2)

I am running on Windows 7 and have used Adobe files in the past. I was working on income taxes and when it was time to view and print, I was told I needed to download Adobe Reader X (10.1.2).

However, once I did this, I could not view or print my return. I have spent over five hours in the past two days trying to fix this problem. I have done everthing suggested online from uninstalling and

re-installing the software four times, scanning my computer for any problems, tried downloading from a different browser, etc. Now, when I call up old pdf files that I have, there is not problem seeing those! Go figure! I need HELP!!!
