What does ::unspecified:: mean in Analytics?

Mar 12, 2012 11:28 AM

Hi,

What does ::unspecified:: mean in Analytics in DPS? I checked the issue folio pages, and each page has a Title and Kicker associated in the metadata, but ::unspecified:: keeps showing up in the analytics reports.

Thanks!

~ Karen

Do you have any subscription active for your magazine?

I am also running up against this in an Enterprise license.  Each article has a title and kicker. Here is a screenshot if that helps.

    Thanks,
    Tanya

We are also facing the same problem whereas our App and Folio are fee and everthing is captured in meta-data. I also ask the same to local technical help support but no use.

In analytics, ::unspecified:: most likely means you didn't specify a "Title" value in article properties. Instead of displaying the article title, "::unspecified::" appears instead.

Thanks for the reply Bob.  We have been over the folio articles and all of them have Titles.  Could it be due to the custom navigation tabs that we have added in our app?

Which app are you referring to? We can get someone to look into specifics.

To confirm, when you select an article in the Folio Builder panel and choose Properties, is a value specified for "Title"?
