CF10 is using Java 6 version 1.6.0_29. Is Java 7 (1.7.0_03) supported?

Being in a competitive business environment such matters as application runs on current product editions is an important consideration for existing customers and new ones alike.

I notice Java 6 end of life has been moved back to November 2012. Refer:

Will CF10 be supported on Java 7? Will CF10 only be supported on soon to be EOL Java 6?

CF10 will be supported on Java 7 before Java 6 EOL. It may or may not happen alongside CF10 release but we plan to certify support before Java 6 EOL.

Hi hemant_k,

CF10 future java 7 support - good to know.

Probably not the right forum however will ask. Will CF8 and CF9 which along with CF10 run Java 6 also be certified for Java 7?

As I recall currently Adobe officially support CF8 and CF9 on Java 1.6.0_24.

Yes, we will be considering jdk strategy for all supported version of ColdFusion.
