Adobe Acrobat Reader 2012 a scam or for real?

I received an email from newsletter@response.adobesystemsinc.com offering Adobe Acrobat Reader 2012 that is supposed to have the capability to create and edit PDF files.

 

It provides this link: http://www.2012-acrobat-online-upgrade.com/

 

When one clicks on the download button, it first asks for one's email, then demands credit card details.

 

And there's a disclaimer below, which says: "This website that no affiliation whatsoever with the owner of this software program, and provides only a link to the software program. Copyright 2012. All rights reserved."

 

If this is a scam, may I ask Adobe to issue a warning because the offer looks tempting.
