Script Error Message When Browsing Pages With Contribute

My client is getting the following message when browsing their site .

The site has been functioning for many years and has just started to show this message today (see attached screen shot below), an error has occurred in the script on this page.

As far as I can tell the site has not been modified in any way in recent days and there is no mention of 'MM_swapimage' in the code at the location referenced in the message.

    Browse to the same page in Internet Explorer, the same error will pop-up, because Contribute uses IE as its Embedded Browse.

    Thanks for the info Dominic.

    Do you or anyone else have an thoughts about why this should suddenly begin to happen or what we can do to eliminate the error message?

    I've looked at the javascript code and can't find any reference to 'MM_swapimage' at Line 1 Char1?

    I browsed to the same page in IE9, this issue is not reproducible.

    I have the same issue in both Mozilla and Internet Explorer.  The only way to use the Contirbute 6.5 software is in Edit mode.

    I am happy to pay, for a product that works but as there is absolutly no support contact or help to resolve the problem from the developer, see no reason to pay them hundreds of dollars for this fault ridder underdeveloped product. I am still using the trial version.

    My problem now is to find another software to make minor changes to an existing html website.

    I checked the source code for your homepage. The error is caused due to the following js(javascritps):- default.js and ddsmoothmenu.js. The contribute browser is not capable enough to resolve/get pass through the js errors. Wehereas a normal browser can skip these js errors.

     

    Please get in touch with your web developer for the same.
