I cannot sign in to Adobe Photoshop. I have installed it twice, restarted my pc a couple of time but every time I come to the sign in, the busy icon at the bottom of the sign in screen runs and the sign in form greys out a little, but no sign in text box appears. It just comes up with an error to say that my clock is set wrong and that my permanent-on internet is not on.
Hello,
Please check wheather your system clock has the correct date set. If not, then please set the correct Date/Time.
Workaround: To proceed with the installation, Click on the 'Connect Later' Button on the bottom of the black error scrim. This would help you to complete Installation.

Pragya

Hello Michael,
It looks like you tried to attach lof files, but they din't got attached as forum does not support attachments. Can you send in the log to me directly.
Also would it be possible for you to join in for a Connect meeting session. We would look into the issue remotely.
Thanks, Nitin
Mrs Boer,
You will only be able to use the beta for 7 days without internet connection and successful completion of the Adobe ID verification.
All Experiencing this issue. Please try these steps.
Let's see what we can see here:
1. Try going into a web browser and connecting to both of these addresses:
Let us know if you can get to those ok! Testing firewall functionality with Adobe.com addresses.
After that, please let us know the results of clicking these links in succession
2. Try going into a web browser and connecting first to
https://ims-na1.adobelogin.com/
and secondly to:
https://ims-na1.adobelogin.com/status
Let us know what you see, or if you get errors.
Thanks!

Returns a blank page.
Adobe.com and Acrobat.com work fine.
Hi Wilinsky48
I have tried to log into these two sites. The first one gives me a blank page and the second one gives me a 404 error. I would just like to say that I am using PS CS6 but I still cannot successfully sign in. After swtiching off my internet and then clicking on Photoshop 6 allowed me to use photoshop but it still wants me to sign in. The diffference is now I get a sign in screen and I can type in my log in details but as of 10 minutes ago the sign in sceen is still trying to log in. I suppose the time out is set at infinity.
Mrs Boer
Hi PS-Peteg
I can access both Adobe.com and Acrobat.com but cannot access the log in sites. I can use PS6 after putting off the internet and can sign in but the sign in is not succesful as in it just is constantly trying log in and the busy icon/gif is constantly running but no success.
Just to give you some system info: I am on the internet behind the great firewall in China, Use Windows 7 Ultimate, have 4GB ram, 2.8GHz AMD Athlon 32bit OS using Mozilla Firefox

Hi Ashutosh,
I cannot ping <activate.adobe.com> nor <practivate.adobe.com>, but no problem with <adobe.com>. At home this failed even when my firewall was turned off. At work, I am not even the administrator of my own computer, and need an IT guy to come to my office in order to remove an unwanted icon from my desktop! So I can't do anything there.
At home comcast is my service provider, and I don't believe I am using a proxy. At least I haven't designated one in my browser.
I originally ignored the activation, and tried the beta for one day, then uninstalled it thinking that there would be a fix later. Now I get the messsage that my trial period has expired, even though it has been less than a week since I downloaded it. Seems like I'm out of luck and won't be able to test it out. Nevertheless, I need to figure out what went wrong with the activation or I won't be able to install CS6 if I buy it. So thanks for directing me to the problem. I am still working on figuring out why I can't ping the activation site. I will assume that once I can successfully ping the activate address, I would be able to activate the beta if I could install it and access the activation screen.
Cheers,
Paul
Hi Ashutosh,
Some additional information: At work I ran tracert on both adobe.com and activate.adobe.com. In both cases there is a timeout at the last jump, from 216.55.12.22 to the Adobe addresses. In the case of the adobe.com address, after a single time out, contact is made. In the case of activate.adobe.com, there are repeated times out, then failure. Maybe this can help troubleshoot? It doesn't seem to me that this could be caused by any proxy server or the hosts file, but then I'm no expert.
Cheers,
Paul
Wilinsky48 and Mrs Boer,
Could you please forward the Host File to me at harinder@adobe.com
Thanks for the update wilinsky48/Paul!
Another question,
Are you able to get to this page/image?
https://ims-na1-beta1.adobelogin.com/renga-idprovider/resources/img/lo gos.png
I was having the exact same problems...
Then I checked my internet connection settings (in Vista: Control Panel - Internet Options - Connections - LAN Settings) and unticked the box
for the Proxy server and that did the trick! Might not apply to everybody here but is worth a check!
Cheers
Frank
I was able to install the beta to my laptop using the same wireless router as for my desktop. I am using the same Norton anti-virus package on both. So that narrows the problem down quite a bit for me, but still no answer. Unfortunately, the solution that worked for fmacallan (uncheck the box for the proxy server in Internet Options) did not work for me.
wilinsky
Hi,
has a solution been found to this issue? I am having the same, or a similar problem. I downloaded the Photoshop CS6 beta a couple of weeks ago, but never activated it...I went on vacation.
Today, when I launched the program, it gives me the "Sign In Required" window, but when I click the sign in button, it tells me I am not connected to the internet or that my system clock is incorrect.
I can connect to the internet just fine, and my system clock is correct. I checked my host file per the instructions on a couple of the links listed above, but it has no entries in it at all- all the commented out default comments are there, but there are no active addresses listed.
I cannot ping the activate.adobe.com or practivate.adobe.com servers, but both resolve to IP addresses. I am not running a proxy, and my firewall is not blocking anything. If I go to https://activate.adobe.com/ in a webbrowser, I get a blank page with the title "Welcome", which leads me to believe that I can connect to the activation server.
I've never touched any of my certificate settings so they should just be default, and I don't have the proxy box checked in the IE settings (Internet Connections).
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium with SP1 on a 64bit machine.
I can successfully reach these URLs:
https://ims-na1-beta1.adobelogin.com/renga-idprovider/resources/img/lo gos.png - I get the logo.
https://ims-na1.adobelogin.com/ connects, but the page is blank. The title bar shows the Acrobat icon and the URL.
https://ims-na1.adobelogin.com/status
gives me a JBoss message: HTTP Status 404 - /status
https://practivate.adobe.com/test
gives me a JBoss message: HTTP Status 404 - /test
EDIT: Also, if I click on the offline-activation link given in the error message in the activation window, I get redirected to 404 page that prints the error in an Asian language. The link points to
www.adobe.com/go/offline_activation, which redirects to http://www.adobe.com/special/errorpages/404.html

Yikes. So I turned off my firewall software entirely and the activation server was suddenly reachable.
Adobe employees: If this is going to be a requirement for activating the released CS6, the default setting for Norton 360 firewall automatically blocks this request, and probably many other vendors do as well. This could be a major problem for you, since most people are not comfortable adding specific firewall rules. I imagine there is a reason that Norton blocks this particular port by default???
MareAstra,
I can't install it either. I have almost the same problems. 404 page, I can see that icon, but I can't ping the IP provided, I can log on Adobe sites... I hope they fix this soon, I use Adobe software everyday without any kind of problems. I love Photoshop, waiting for a quick fix to this registration problem. ![]()
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with Microsoft Security Essentials and ran into this problem and fixed it by doing the following.
1. Started Process Explorer and identified the process for the sign-in window. Process Explorer reported the path as 'C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDapp.exe', which is for the Adobe Application Manager.
2. I opened the Windows firewall by opening the Start Menu, typing 'firewall' and waiting for the Start Menu search to show the option for 'Allow a program through Windows firewall'
3. I clicked the button labeled 'Allow another program...', which is in the lower right corner of the window that opened
4. I clicked the button labeled 'Browse...' near the right center of the window that opened
5. I pasted the path ('C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDapp.exe')
that Process Explorer showed me into the 'File Name' area of the window that opened, then clicked the button labeled 'Open'
6. I clicked the button labeled 'Add'
This updated the firewall. This will probably be something that gets automated for the production release.
I returned to the Photoshop screen, clicked Connect (I think that is what it said) and proceeded to the next screen, entered my credentials, got to the install screen and was able to complete the installation.
Good luck
