Hello,

I have a PDF document created with MS Word 2010 -- but I do not know if this pdf was created with Acrobat Pro oder something else:

Document properties, tab "Description", "Application": "PScript5.dll Version 5.2.2"

When I am converting such a DOCX file with Acrobat X Pro, there appears the entry "Acrobat PDFMaker 10.1 for Word".

But what means "PScript5...."?

thanks!

Carlos

Go back to WORD and print a PDF to the Adobe PDF printer. I am pretty sure that will create the property you found. PDF Maker and the printer are different processes now and I think that is the print driver you are seeing in the properties. You might also try the WORD plugin and see the property that gives. I am on the wrong machine to try the variations, but the variations in the creation process may answer your question.

Ghostscript uses PScript5.dll for the creation of PDF files.

The plugin for AA9 does not work in WORD 2010. You have to print to the Adobe PDF printer. Hopefully Bernd's answer provided information on the source of the PDF creation.
