just skip pass the verification window you get when opening the disk image and you will not run into any problems.
I was trying everything I could think of on my end to download the InDesign trial from this link:
http://prodesigntools.com/trials2/AdobeProducts/IDSN/8/win32/InDesign_ 8_LS16.exe
I must have tried it a hundred times using every browser, download manager, login, logout, whatever. At one point the server sent me a 1.2 MB file that was corrupt, but on all other attempts it just errored out. The current response entity is:
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/IDSN/8/win32/InDesign_8_LS16.ex e?" on this server.

When I switched to the 7zip file and after many more attempts it finally downloaded. The exe link never worked.
I don't know if this is a security thing or a failed server but it is not a good way to distribute software either way.
If you are receiving the Access Denied error then you need to set the cookie to access a trial on our server. Per the directions on Prodesigntools.com which were also reposted in message #14 you need to initiate a download prior to trying one of the direct download links. If you don't have the cookie set you will be unable to initiate the download.
I did just test it and I was able to initiate a download for both File 1 and File 2 of InDesign CS6. I was on my home network utilizing Internet Explorer 8 under Windows 7 64-bit.
After jumping through all the hoops in the instructions yet again with Internet Explorer 8, it gives me the same 1.2 MB corrupt file as I get in Chrome, except it names the file "InDesign_8_LS16" whereas Chrome names it "InDesign_8_LS16.exe" by default.

As you can see, the problem is not on my end. The server isn't even sending the correct response header.
Miqrogroove, If you dont mind me asking, Are you doing this while you are signed into Adobe.com
The ideal way to do it is to log in to adobe.com,
Sign In,
Initiate any products downlaod by clicking on try and Eventually "Dowload Now"
You can retry this link by replacing "xx" by "tt" in "hxxp" below -

By the way, since it isn't mentioned yet on those pages, I guess I should talk about it :
Those files are also downloadable from Adobe's public FTP server ( ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/cs6/downloads/ ), using either a "normal" Internet browser or, better yet, a FTP client (such as FileZilla or CyberDuck), which allows resuming of downloads in case they get interrupted.
In addition, this method doesn't even require to log in with a specific account on Adobe's website.
Thanks for posting about direct download. I was finally able to get the files downloaded, but they won't extract. I get to around 99% complete, and then it says that I either don't have enough room (I've got over a tb) or I don't have permission. If I try to extract the .7z file manually it says '~~~~~~ file is corrupt.' I've been trying to wrap my brain around this for days. What am I missing? T_T
Which version of which program did you use to attempt extracting the .7z file ?
If it was a different one, you should try 7-zip 9.20. However if it also says the file is corrupted, then, it must be. Such things may happen when downloading huge files : then you should try redownloading.
I was trying to download Indesign 5.5. Like others have mentioned before, I tried to initiate a download of another product by going to this link:
Click «here» to visit this page
However I'm getting a "Site Area Temporarily Unavailable" page so I cant go any further.
Anybody else getting this?
Hi Jeff,
Can you give us an update as to the status of your servers?
I've been trying to install CS6 using my Cloud account but for the past 2-3 days my download has stopped at 99% Downloaded. I also tried doing it using the direct links from http://prodesigntools.com and I'm getting that same issue 99% and download stops.
Thank you!
They have been back up and functioning properly since approximately 5 P.M. PDT on Friday. You likely are facing a different issue Appwebllc. Please feel free to post a thread with the details of your difficulties to the Creative Cloud Download & Install FAQ forum - http://forums.adobe.com/community/download_install_setup/creative_clou d_faq.
Hey Guys, I've tried the direct download links several times and they are not working on my computer. I've just noticed that File two of CS6 Master Collection is a .txt file, is that right? I have had the 101 error using the assistant, also had parts missing error from the direct download, please help...!!
Hello there :]
Did you try using a FTP client like I had suggested here ?
can anyone confirm the Adobe Web Premium CS5.5 English Mac DMG downloads successfully on this third party website?
I have tried downloading it over 10 times for the past 2 weeks, and it always "completes" at exactly 2.15 GB (when its supposed to be 4GB)
This is getting incredibly frustrating, why is Adobe relying on prodesigntools, a third part website, to host their previous versions? That is not very professional.
I've tried on different networks, different browsers, ethernet, everything. it fails at exactly 2.15GB each time, very suspicious that its on their end.
Where can we just get our CS5.5 downloaded (from ADOBE servers) which we paid money for?
Please, help!
Prodesigntools is not hosting the files they are giving instructions on how to reach the older version downloads. The install files themselves are still being download from Adobe's servers.
If you are facing difficulties with the download using the direct download instructions then it is likely your current Internet connection is causing the problem. If your network is managed please contact your I.T. department. If it is not then please contact your Internet Service provider as it appears you have a 2.15 gigabyte limit to download files.

Just a thought:
Since downloading earlier versions is one of the most popular requests on these forums every day (and most people are provided with a link to the prodesigntools website), would Adobe consider making earlier versions available for download (back to, say CS2) without forcing everyone to jump through hoops?
We can download just about every version (1,2 3 and 4) of Lightroom ever released - but not any other apps. Any reason for that?
John this topic of allowing direct downloads has most certainly been brought up. We are continuing to evaluate changes to how trial downloads will be made available in 2013.
Ay Dot Photoshop Lightroom does not utilize the Adobe Download Assistant. If you are experiencing failures with your Internet connection then you will want to work with the your I.T. department or your Internet Service Provider. You may also want to try a wired connection if you are trying to download the software over a wireless connection.
I have the Adobe CS4 Creative Suite installed on a computer that is broken. Originally, I purchased a physical copy of the suite, but I have moved and cannot locate my physical copy of the suite. I do, however, still have my serial number. I have purchased a new computer and would like to install my version of CS4 on my new computer.
I called customer support and verified my account info, and they instructed me to go to this page and request a download link for CS4. The customer service agent informed me I would recieve a download link within 24 hours. It seems a bit of a a strange way to go about getting me my download link, I hope my customer service agent was not misinformed.
Here is the email from my customer service agent:

I agree with John Waller. The older trials should definitely be hosted on adobe.com. CS4 isn't that old. I'm trying to find a legit download for the Flash CS4 trial, and it's been confusing.
Does anyone know what files I need to download? There are 3 files for Flash Professional CS4 for Windows: http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here. html Do I need to download them all? Any help would be appreciated.
This is very disappointing. I expected more from Adobe.
You will receive that error if you have not first followed the Very Important Instructions on the download page, prior to clicking the download links.
Those Very Important Instructions (overlooked by many) are crucial for setting the correct cookies on your computer so that the Adobe servers will permit access for you to download the files.
So:
1) Follow the Very Important Instructions (all steps)
2) Click the download links
I'm having the same problem. I downloaded the Adobe Download Assistant and had no trouble downloading Photoshop cs6 but still get the Access Denied message (see below) when I try to download CS5.5. I have disabled the firewall and all the security on IE 10. Please help!
You don't have permission to access "http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STAM/CS5_5/win32/MasterCollecti on_CS5_5_LS1.exe?" on this server.
