Has anyone tried to run Audition 1.5 or 2 or 3 in Win 7 using "XP Mode"?

Mar 28, 2012 4:24 PM

I own Audition 1.5 and just switched from an XP computer to a 64-bit Windows 7 one.  Haven't set up XP mode, but I'm wondering if this would solve the "Device Not Found" problem when trying to burn a CD.  Has anyone tried this?

I don't know about XP Mode for CD burning, but the main problem is the built in soundcard emulation. It is very basic.

You can "tunnel" a USB audio device through, but my impression was that the overall speed of XP Mode made it rather pointless compared with running Audition or CEP in native Windows 7.

It's easier to use a different application to burn the CD's or hang on to an older machine in my opinion.

running Win 7 Professional 64 bit / AA 1.5.....REALTEK was disabled in BIOS, and using RME Babyface, and everything works just fine,

so most likely all you have to do, is to play with your SOUNDCARD.
