Hi,
I experienced this problem a couple of times, and I wonder why that is so?
It has happened 3 times already. My form does have a fair number of fields, not alot of graphics but lots of text. I did have a few javascripts added too.
Each time that the file was damaged, I was editing it. I have not shared the file with anyone either.
One time my background image and a lot of fields went blank (leaving me with a white page and a few fields). While the other times, it just said it cannot be saved and I had to exit. But when I returned to it, I got a 'file damage pop-up message! On one occasion the file size came to 0 while the other it remained as it is normally, but I couldn't open it because it was 'damaged'.
Why is this happening?
I tried searching for the answer, and tried a suggestion, of removing 'fast web viewing' and another option, at the advance, preference site but my file was still unable to open.
I'm concerned because I still have work to do onto the form. And, if it's so unpredictable and 'damages' on me anytime, how can I be sure it will not do the same as I distribute it?
Please help!!
Acrobat X Pro user.
Not sure why. From a work flow viewpoint, be sure to have a copy before you start the work so you do not have to go further back than that copy. You can also periodically save your work and then copy the saved file if desired. It may be that you need to update Acrobat. You did not indicate the version and so I would guess you are still at 10.0, which may be the problem.
Hi,
Thanks for your response. Yes, ever since the 1st problem, 've been saving my 'backups'. But since it's the 3rd time, this flags an issue to look at seriously and thats' why I want to ask in the forum for help ![]()
I have version 10.1.0 , and I bought it not long ago!
Will I need to update? if so, is there a cost? or is it for free?
Will updating it help avoid getting damaged file unknowningly?
