have downloaded optional plugins but cant get to photosop

but can't work out where to go from there..' read me' says to drop into photo shop but not sure if I have to drop in whole folder which I did or open folders and drop in contents which also did but not able to find where they are or not coming up in fill patterns.  or brushes?????

    Hi Denise,

     

    What platform are you using? What version of Ps do you have? And which plug-ins are you trying to load?

    As Steve points out, the text did not appear. This often happens, when one is accessing the forum via a smartphone, or through a POP server, and an e-mail client. The poster is usually unaware that their text did not "attach." If you are having this problem, it might be helpful to access the forum via a Web browser.

    Hi,
    hoping this answer will go back to you.   I am having difficulty getting through in the forum.  One I have tried to put my question through on gives me a message 'you are not authorized to do this"  so I am obviously not in write forum or area (not real computer literate). I have cs5 ( had paint shop pro 8 prior) and miss the paint tubes.   I down loaded from adobe pscs50 optionalplugins win en US.   but can not get them into photoshop . in the read me instruction have to drop in to cs5 in my program's etc forget exactly what at the moment but do not know whether I have to drop the whole folder in or take individual pages out and drop in .  I have tried both methods and both times window comes up and say I do not have permission to do???

    What exactly is the plug-in?

     

    Maybe someone here will be familiar with it, and can give you exact instructions for getting it into Photoshop. The process of "installing" plug-ins can differ, depending on the plug-in.

     

    Also, I did not see the version of Photoshop you are using. That can make a difference too.
